Eligibility Criteria for FSWP

To qualify for the FSWP under Express Entry, you must meet these key criteria:

1. Work Experience

   • A minimum of 1 year of continuous, full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience within the last 10 years.

   • The experience must be in an occupation categorized under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the NOC (National Occupational Classification).

2. Language Proficiency

   • Demonstrate language proficiency in English or French.

   • Achieve a minimum CLB 7 (Canadian Language Benchmark) in all four sections: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.

3. Education

   • A minimum secondary school credential.

   • All foreign education must be assessed by an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to determine Canadian equivalency.

4. Settlement Funds

   • Sufficient funds to support yourself and your family upon arrival in Canada (unless you have a valid job offer).

5. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)

   • Meet the minimum CRS cut-off score for receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

6. Age

   • While there is no specific age limit, younger applicants score higher on CRS points.

7. Adaptability

   • Points are awarded for factors like a spouse’s language ability, previous work or study in Canada, or family ties in Canada.
